Biotechnology translations

Biotech translations are done by graduates of biotechnology master’s studies or PhD students of biotechnology or, possibly, biology if their selected specialty is molecular biology. Some translators of biotechnology texts are educated to PhD level and have their own scientific output. Others have completed foreign courses elevating both their essential and linguistic competencies in a given area. Frequently, such overseas experience is reflected in gaining an international certificate, regarding either general language competencies with the proof of an advanced (e.g. CAE) or fluent (e.g. CPE – near-native) command of a particular foreign language, or competencies concerning specific skills, e.g. techniques of writing scientific papers – “Postgraduate Writing for Scientists”.

purin ring – biotechnology translations into Polish

We translate and edit a wide range of documents, including:

  • biotechnology patents (His tags),
  • experimental protocols (ELISA, PCR, RT-PCR, isoelectric focusing – IF, 1D & 2D electrophoresis, Western-Blotting, gene cloning, DNA and protein sequencing, expression of transgenes in bacterial cells, DNA microarrays, molecular methods of DNA, RNA, protein and vitamin purification),
  • abstracts,
  • summaries of bachelor’s dissertations and master’s theses,
  • reviews of doctoral theses,
  • scientific articles and manuscripts,
  • chapters of specialist books,
  • marketing materials regarding recombinant products, e.g. glargine insulin,
  • research device instruction manuals (autoclaves, centrifuges, flow cytometers, high performance liquid chromatography devices, etc.),
  • instruction manuals for devices used in molecular diagnostics, e.g. DNA sequencers,
  • research-related grant applications,
  • feasibility studies of projects subsidised from EU funds, e.g. the building of scientific and technical parks,
  • content of thematic websites of biotechnology companies.

Moreover, we provide interpretation services at scientific conferences.
